Hi, I am new here and this is my first image :)


"The sky changed darker and darker, now he could see the reason, a huge ball was flying in the Sky, with the blink of an eye the planet was away. As fast as light crosses the planet the way of earth in its course through the universe"


Rendered the Earth with 3DSMax, Painted the Planet in Photoshop and also the Background. Tutorial from Greg Martin helped me with the planet, was my first step in painting with Photoshop ever ;)

First time I made a bg or something in photoshop.

Before I just worked on my fotos, make the color better etc. Never painted something ;)

Well the big planet is gorgeous and is in the same level of the best planets you can find by the best space artists here.
The background is very beautful, has a quite good variation on the stars and a cool dust, althought you can improve it much more.....

BUT, the painted planet..... well, as you start participating of the space artists "world" here on dA you will notice we just hate these begginers that picks up tutorials annd submit the product of it's following as "art".
Your starfield is quite impressing and the big planet just amazing, but the painted planet is just the same of greg's tutorial, and it I can't tolerate! =/
